Randa Maher

Randa Maher has been practicing law since 1988, when she served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Appeals Bureau of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. From 1995 through the present, Ms. Maher’s practice has focused on criminal litigation, including sentencing memoranda, post‐convictions motions and appeals, in both the New York State and federal courts. She is a member of the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panels for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits (Appeals), and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York (Habeas Corpus). Additionally, Ms. Maher serves as the Associate Village Justice in the Village of Great Neck, and as a Judicial Hearing Officer in the Nassau County Traffic & Parking Violations Bureau. She also is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. Ms. Maher has been of counsel to the Law Offices of David E. Levine since 2007.
Ms. Maher sits on the Boards of the Nassau County Magistrates Association
and the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association. She is a member of
the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Courts of Appellate
Jurisdiction, and is the Co‐Chair of Hadassah’s National Attorneys
and Judges Council. She also serves on the New York State Health Research
Science Board, which supports breast cancer scientific research projects
within New York State.
